Class Descriptions

Our class offerings change seasonally to keep things fresh and exciting. As a result, some classes listed here may not be currently available on the schedule.

Aqua Zumba
Aqua Zumba is a low-impact, high-energy aquatic workout that combines the Zumba philosophy with water resistance. It’s a fun and engaging fitness class that takes place in a pool, utilizing the buoyancy and resistance of the water to make each step more challenging and enjoyable.

Barre
Barre combines elements of Ballet and Pilates, with the occasional use of light weight training. It’s a full body workout designed to tone and strengthen the muscles, leaving you to feel a beautiful burn!

Barbell Strength
Chica Barbell combines barbell movements that will fire up a full body workout to build strength and conditioning. Each session will begin with a warm-up, movement demo, upbeat workout, and cool down. Progressions, modifications, and scaling will be demonstrated as well.

Chica Aerobics
This brisk rhythm-based cardio class will have you marching to the music with powerful and purposeful movements. Accessible to all fitness levels, you can choose to stick to the basics with low impact options or increase the rigor by adding light hand weights, ankle weights, or plyometric movements.

Chica Walking Club
A brisk 30–40-minute 2 mile walk around the beautiful town of Pantego.

Line Dancing
Unleash Your Moves, Own the Beat! It’s a Party every class! Join us for a fun-filled Line Dance Class that combines great music with exciting dance moves! You will be ready for any Wedding or Quincenera, or any club you go to! All levels invited!

Mat Pilates
A low-impact, core-focused class designed to strengthen, lengthen, and tone your entire body. Using controlled movements and intentional breathing, Mat Pilates helps improve posture, stability, balance, and mind-body connection. Perfect for all fitness levels — come build strength from the inside out!

Pound Fit
Channel your inner rockstar with this full body cardio-jam session inspired by the infectious, energizing, and sweat-dripping fun of playing the drums.

Power and Flex
This class combines the best of both worlds — strength and recovery. The first half is a high-energy HIIT and strength session designed to build muscle and endurance. The second half focuses on deep stretching and recovery to improve flexibility, mobility, and balance. Leave feeling strong, refreshed, and recharged!

Walk Club
A brisk 30-40 minute 2 mile walk around the beautiful town of Pantego.

Xtreme Hip Hop
This is a high-energy fitness experience that combines step aerobics with hip hop music for a full-body cardio workout. Classes are fast paced, use a combination of old and new school hip hop music, and incorporate a variety of step combinations and dance moves to create a fun, intense exercise environment. Participants can expect to burn a high number of calories while improving their cardiovascular health, strength, and endurance.

Zumba
We take the “work” out of workout, by mixing low-intensity and high-intensity moves for an interval-style, calorie-burning dance fitness party. Once the Latin and World rhythms take over, you’ll see why Zumba® Fitness classes are often called exercise in disguise. Super effective? Check. Super fun? Check and check. Benefits? A total workout, combining all elements of fitness – cardio, muscle conditioning, balance and flexibility, boosted energy and a serious dose of awesome each time you leave class.

Zumba Step
A Step Zumba format, but with all the same great music, very similar Zumba Choreography, all while using a step to get your heart rate up!
